All About Pizza

This country is definitely not lacking in pizza. But what it is missing is great pizza. They have good pizza. Big Apple is good pizza. A bit thin, so it cant be labeled great, but excellent taste. Pizza Hut is good, but the slices are way too small. Theres a place in Geula I like, Amnons Pizza, they give you good dressing on the pizza. But theyre not even in the running for the best. I've had pizza all over this country, from Eilat to Maalot, but I havent found that amazing taste that makes me want to go back. Mendy and I used to order from Big Apple so much they all knew us there. Every time, half plain half tomato, extra spices, with a bottle of Coke. But it wasnt the great taste that had us calling them every day. It was our total laziness to find outt he number of a number place. Then I went back to Detroit for the summer and ate at our local pizza place (obviously called, Jerusalem Pizza). And then I remembered what great pizza was. Hawaiian pizza, with fake bacon, black olives, and pineapple. Its just amazing. The slices are nicely sized, thick enough, the crust tastes good. I dont know what Brian does, but he does it right.

You might want to try Dr Pizza. They deliver, and for 50 Sheck, you get a full pie with 2 different spices, a really great sauce, and bottle of coke. Same thing. We've ordered from them so much, they already know how we like our pizza as soon as we mention where we're ordering from.
I always loved this place next to Stern, called (now) Viva Naturalle. For the life of me, I can't seem to remember now what it used to be called. Anyways, they also used to put everything and anything on their pizza, including fake bacon and fake pepperoni. Really good stuff. Until Israel catches on to this food revelution, we'll just have to live what they got.

i wonder if big apple ever thinks of us anymore... i know i still think of them. sometimes i want to call, just to you know, check up on them, see how they're doing. but... i know myself far too well, and before i would know it i'd be ordering (half tomato, half plain... deerbalak if you forget the soda).

Big apple pizza! how i miss you so! forever number seven on my speeddial...

OC, Ive had Dr Pizza, the price may be good, there may be a lot of extras, but it just isnt amazing. Ive been to the place next to Stern, I remember the slices were very large, but I dont remember how it tasted. If it was so good, I would remember.

I have a bad feeling from pizza meter. We saw one in Tel Aviv and inncoently went in. they had an all you can eat going on, and we asked if everything was included. The guy told us, everything vegetarian. So I asked him what else would pizza be? He tells me the ones with pepperoni or salami arent included. Now, I walked in there with a kippa on my head, and he cant tell me its not kosher?? That kinda place doesnt go on a best list.

you know, during the second gulf war when everyone was scared sadaam hussein was going to try to gas israel (remember, we went to bakum with our gas masks), pizza meter put sealed rooms in all of its stores and announced that it was going to continue delivery using guys on motorcycles in chem suits. it's too bad sadaam never attacked, cause they could have really raked it in.

but they're stam too expensive for peacetime pizza

OK, well now we're back at square one. Where in Central Israel or Jerusalem is there a great place to get pizza?
This could be quite a cunundrum...More research must be done!!
